Heart Disease and Heart Attack Forum - irregular heartbeat with pains on left side

im only 21 i dont drink, smoke or use drugs but lately i have been experiencing a very irregular heart beat, it will speed up to the point that it feels ready to explode then just stop all of a sudden and bearly beat, i get aching pains in my left side directly in line with my heart, i also exp shortness of breath and dizzyness, my gp has scheduled me for an ecg which has me very worried as i do not know what he is looking for

Probably wants to evaluate your skipping heartbeat for abnormalities. You can also ask for a stress test if you think there is something wrong with the valves of your heart. Let us know the results!
