It has been 14 months since knee replacement and 10 months since popliteal bypass. I still have a lot of swelling? discomfort from knee to toes. On Maxide diuretic, wear compression stocking. exercise. On Dr. said "live with it". But when swelling is severe, it weeps through the skin. In the evenings, toes swell most, and a tender knot develops just above the inner ankle. How do I get rid of the swelling or will it last forever?????

MY goodness. I'm sorry to hear about your symptoms. How much exercise are you getting daily? How old are you? Are you elevating your legs?
