Usually they say that you can count back 14 days from the last day of your period and that should be when you are ovulating. However that doesn't work for every women. The best thing to do is to get some ovulation predictor tests and use them around that time to see if you get a positive result. Also you can try temping but I can't give you to much info on that because I am not to sure about it.

Signs that you are about to ovulate or are ovulating could be,

increased cervical mucous.....stretchy egg-white type (the last day that you notice this is usually your most fertile)

mild cramping in right, left or middle of lower abdomen

increased libido

some women experience breast tenderness too

I hope this helps......Good luck!!

Good luck. I never paid attention to the signs that I was about to ovulate until we started to ttc. It takes a couple of months to recognize them, but then it is easy. I've used both temping and opk. Opk gives you a heads up that ovulation in right around the corner. Temping tells you what day you ovulated so you can count the days until af is due. I find that opks don't work the best for me and I get a lot of cm, so now I just start bding when I notice the cm and stop after my temp rises.

I hope this helps.
