Tinnitus after loud music Posted: 01-12-08 09:40am
Hi, my name is Jono.
Last week (on Saturday evening) I went to
a party and there was very loud music
lasting about 3 and a half hours.
Ever since the party i have had a quiet
buzz or ringing in my right ear. I can
only hear it when it is very quiet around
me. It doesn't prevent me from getting to
sleep.
I am wondering if this could be tinnitus
or any other hearing problem. I am only 16
years old. Is it likely that I have
tinnitus or any other permanent hearing
problem? are there any cures or treatments
to make it go away?
I am going to see a doctor on Monday, but
I would like an opinion as soon as
possible, to let me know how serious it
might be.
Thanks in advance,
Jono.

Are you STILL experiencing the buzzing?
Sometimes, I experienced this symptom
after being around loud music. You can
wear ear plugs the next time that you are
near speakers, especially at concerts.
It's a little dorky, but it saves your
ears!

deffintly wear ear plugs the next time you
are near anything loud, the ringging in
your ears is the cillia diying, it means
that you are going to lose that spicific
pitch, and will not get it back again, ive
delt with hearing loss my whole life trust
me its not quite as fun as some ppl make
it out to be.you amy want to see an
audiologist and get your hearing tested,
they may not pick up the loss on that
spiciffic pitch as there are thousands a i
think they only test about 10, just the
ones we need to for speach, and general
communication. but get tested, 20% fo
adults have a 20% heaing loss and dont
know it
