Recently, a mutual friend of my husband & I has been admitted to the psych ward for depression & anxiety. I have been offering a great deal of support to his wife (she & I were friends first) & helping her through the whole process. Meanwhile, my hubby (bipolar) & the husband spent time together a few times & my hubby feels very affected by the situation. He states he feels bad for the husband and wants to do something for him. We talked through his feelings & noted that the husband has needed to get help for a long time.

I don't know what else I can do or if hubby is going to need more support. He saw his therapist 2 days ago, but I don't know how that went. I suppose I just feel worried about my hubby, in hopes that he's not going to take this situation too hard. He's such a caring person & I don't want him to suffer for this person's situation. However, my friend (the wife) is coming over this weekend to pick up a microwave we're donating to the husband & I feel this will help my hubby feel better about things.

Thoughts? cough
