My 14 week old granddaughter has had a mucke eye since birth. We were told it is caused by a blocked tear duct and for mum to squirt breast milk into it. This has not cleared up and the eye is quite crusted and closed every morning. The discharge from the eye looks like conjunctivitis, but she has now developed inflammation of the eyelid which is noticable when she is asleep. I wonder if it is blepharitis and if so will it effect her vision.
We have started bathing it with warm boiled water and a few drops of johnsons baby shampoo. Does she need antibiotics.
Many thanks

my granddaughter had yellow puss coming out of her eye and it is puffy somtimes.
It is closes and puffy when she wakes up and she had a runny nose. What does this mean. Should I be concerned about her eyes.
