low testosterone, on Angrogel, told I couldn't father
Posted: 01-11-08 01:30am

Morning folks, I have Primary Hypogadism, and had it every since birth, but was diagnosed wrongly and had the surgery at 10 years of age to lower one of my testes.

After that, I was never put on HCG to "re start" my testicles, and suffered (still do) from the side effects of not having enough T.

I am on Angrogel, and have been on TRT since '05.
During that time, my Endocrine Specialist informed me after reviewing my blood work, I could not father children, unless by a miracle of modern science.

OK, now, I met someone and we had unprotected sex based on my condition of being infertile. This is also my first gf and I'm 30 (another story folks).

OK, we had sex on the 10th of last month, and she came back the 26th on last month complaining of cramping and stomach pains. I said, lets go to the ER (which we did on the 9th of this month) and she refused.

We went to the free health clinic because I was worried of STD's from her past and she said (after I had to force it out of her) she took a "P" test, and it came back positive. We then brought a test and it came up "not pregnant". Of course, being she is my first and I couldn't be a dad, I was not-as-happy, as I should be.

OK, the ER (over 5 hours of course), indicated she was.

Now, given my rare condition at my age, and the fact I was using the gel very loosely over that time, should I just give up the concern this developing child may NOT be mine?

Oh, yes, I just went to my Endo yesterday, and of course (I feel like suing!) one of the attending I typically see, stated it was a chance I could conceive, yet this key piece of information wasn't given to me back in '05 when another attending of Endo stated it was very-very-very unlikely I could conceive.

Given she is my first gf; I mention to her I would like to date around, something I couldn't do, rather than be in a committed relationship. This changes everything! I maybe forced to continue with this person and feel cheated (much like not going through puberty normally) in experiencing dating and having relationships until I find "the one".

She has taught me I do not have to fear my body due to not developing normally through primary H, and I can satisfy (although I didn%u2019t receive much in return) a woman. She has other children and experiences, while I have just this and I know, I am not in love with her, although, she is with me.

She is also consider %u201Chigh risk%u201D pregnancy and I know, termination is wrong, if it comes to it, even if this maybe my only chance at fatherhood, I will accept it.

Any advice is appreciate.
