my girlfriend is on seasonique. Shes been on it for about 8 weeks and just started a new pack about a week ago. She was late on her first pill by 5 hours. we dont see any symptoms of pregnancy and all she says is her stomach hurts. iw as just asking if this could be possible or are we just parinoid. im not so much worried about her stomach hurting because it hurt last month as well. any advice?

You're fine- she can be late one day and you're still protected.

Because she was late she might get some spotting or something.

stomach pains arent a big sign of being pregnant, missing a period, nausea, fatigue, increase of hunger, ect. those are signs of a pregnancy. I have gotten pregnant not once, but twice on two different types of B/C pills and i took them on time every day, never missed a MINUTE. But, i dont think your friend is pregnant, if she still thinks she is after a week or two, i would advise taking a good quality pregnancy test such as EPT.

If someone gets pregnant on birth control and they are taking it perfectly, they are in the 1-3% of women that make up the failure rate. I know it happens, but it's not common. But the girls are right, it does happen, so if a baby would be a big problem for you and/or you aren't willing to have an abortion, using condoms as well might be a good plan.

For me, the 1-3% risk is ok.

It is more likely, if someone gets pregnant on birth control, that either they weren't taking it correctly, or they were taking a medication that interfered, or they missed pills due to throwing up/diarrhea, or something like that.
