Prostatitis Infection (Prostatitis) are quite common but somewhat difficult to clear up. The bacteria which causes the infection usually comes from the colon and is a "gram negative". The prostate has many places for bacteria to "hide".

Antibiotics are recommended for treating a Prostate Infection - sometimes for a protracted course. Oral zinc replacement might help recurrent infections.
