Hello ladies! I know a few of you have pcos and I was hoping that someone would be able to help me out.

How long does your period normally last?

Everything I've found online says that it is normally very long and painful. I haven't had my period since 8-28. So, it's been a while. But, I do get a spot (maybe two) once every 5-6 weeks. I was starting to wonder if that is actually my period? I know, obviously that isn't 'normal' but nothing about me is right now.

Thanks for the help! I have an appt Mon for results/scripts, so I'll ask then, but I was just wondering if anyone had some first hand experience.

Well, I did like you for a a while. I would spot for a day or so and that would be it. I used to be the exact opposite before I started bc though. I was a very heavy bleeder and went for about 7 days. I would get so bad that I would be unable to go to work or school. The pain was just excruciating. It all changed after going off bc though. Don't ask me why because I have no idea and neither does anyone else.

Since I was a teenager my cycle length has been right about 35 days, but can go as long as 45. My actual period lasts exactly 7 days, every month, and I get really bad cramps every other month. Like, on the floor, crying cramps.

IT probably is you period, or when you should be having it anyways.

WIsh I could be more help. Good luck on Monday, and keep us updated.

That is exactly how mine were before birth control. Even on birth control it was still 5-6 days long. And when I went off, it was like that for the first 3 months. Now, nothing. Lol, I'm just not sure if it should 'count' or not.

Thanks for the help!
