The usual hospital stay is 4 to 7 days depending on your overall health, on the extent and type of the surgery performed, whether there are any pre-existing conditions that may slow recovery, and whether there are any complications after surgery.
Recovery time at home may be 3 to 6 weeks.
The surgeon usually order antibiotics prior and after surgery to prevent any infections.
