So, We are buying half a house!! Laughing No, seriously. Mikes parents (mom) is taking a huge cut in her disability payment because his youngest sister will no longer be a dependent. And we just cant afford to live on our own and pay most of their bills. So, we are staying here and our names are going on the deed. So, we will own half the house.

We are in the process of building out the garage to make it basically a studio apartment. It has its own entrance now. We are building a HUGE walk in closet and we are also building out a small nursery. (big enough for a crib, changing table, and rocking chair) So, we are pretty excited. I just thought I would update everyone.

I'll update periodically with pictures until its done. So far all we have done is close it in and make the exterior wall. So here is a picture of my door. Lol.

The baby making is coming along. I have my appt on Monday with my RE. So hopefully I'll get a rx for an ovulation stimulant and be preggo in a few weeks. I'm really excited to see what she says.

Dani-Yes, we are currently living there. We have always paid a good portion of their bills (and my moms) But, we were at a place were we could afford that and to live on our own. With the new income that his parents will have we will have to contribute a lot more. So, until we can afford everyones bills, we are consolidating and just accepting the fact that we will be here for a while.

Thanks guys!! I'm actually really excited. I'll probably be posting all sorts of things asking for opinions on colors/patterns over the next few weeks.

I forgot to add. Where the door is, used to be the garage door. So that is a whole new wall and door! I think I was just to excited to explain!

Thanks B.! I'll probably take you up on that offer. Especially with the "wish room" (that's what Mike calls the nursery, lol) I'm still not sure what, if anything, we are going to do in there yet.

i thought it was an apartment over the garage, but it's the actual garage?

are you going to have a kitchen? how much space is there?

Nope, it is the actual garage. Well, currently it is seperated. Half the room is our current room, then it was closed off so the rest is a gargage. We're taking over the rest of that garage so it will just be one big room. (well, we've already taken the rest of the garage, we just have to open it up and build it out now.)

No, we wont have a kitchen in there. We'll still be using the regular kitchen and bathroom. It's bigger then a one car garage, but not quite a two car garage...so a one and 1/2 car garage? lol. I think its 400ish sq ft. So, plenty big enough for the two of us and a little one for the time being.
