Q: Red Bumps Under Skin In Between Thighs

Within the past 6 months or so an increase in iratation has occured in between my thighs where they rub the most. These bumps look as if they'd be an ingrown hair but after squeezing them and squeezing them, they form a little head and then a yellow pus will come out, some of them are larger and will follow the pus by a dark red blood. Then they bruise because I squeezed so hard.

Last week one began and it is growing huge!!! it's the size of a ping pong ball and is very hard. Just looking at it doesn't show it but you can feel it. When i squeeze it, it seems as if I'm popping bubbles under the skin but nothing is happening on the surface of my skin. They are very irratating and not very appealing because they bruise.

I was suggested to put a chafing cream on my thighs, that didn't work, i started using Triple Antibiotic ointment, and that worked on the small ones but not this huge one. I would just like to know WHAT these are and what the best treatment for them is. Thanks

cystic acne
I'm still learning about it, and how to treat it, but what I have learned is that it's cystic acne. It can be caused by hormones, heat, moisture, ... No one seams to have the "cure", but I don know that lemon juice will lessen the dark appearance of the scars left behind.
I've been getting mine since I was 14 (puberty) so I'm fairly certain it's hormone related. Doc's have said it's b/c I'm overweight, but I've had it at 135, 160, 200... the same at any weight, so I know that's BS.
Sorry I can't be more helpful.

If you were 135 at 14 and are now over 200, that definitely does not rule out your obesity as the cause...
