If your periods are regular, I would assume you are ovulating. It is possible to have anovulatory bleeding, but that usually occurs when periods are highly irregular.
It also doesn't necessarily affect your chance of conceiving. I had super light periods once I stopped the pill (lighter than on the pill), only needed tampons one day (lite tampons at that) and then just pantyliners thereafter. I got pregnant on the 2nd cycle trying to conceive though I was taking a false unicorn root tincture at the time (I had read it could help with light periods & many swear by it for getting pregnant), but I don't know if it was the herbs or I'm just more fertile than I thought. There is a concern light periods can hinder implantation of a fertilized egg, but I wouldn't worry unless you have been having timed intercourse for a year and are still not pregnant.
Have you tried charting your basal body temps and tracking fertility signs? I'm sure the TTC board would have info on it. I had better luck with that than with ovulation tests.
