Who here has seen Juno? I saw it last night and cried. It was such a good movie.

And why, all of a sudden when I'm pregnant, is everyone without (or even with) a child an expert about babies and my pregnant body? I love the unsolicited advice. Rolling Eyes How do you deal with it? I can't take it anymore. Everyone is telling me what to eat and what not to eat and what is good or bad for me and telling me to "make sure I breastfeed or else the baby won't be healthy" and "are you sure it's not twins?"

Sad Mad

Oh I want to see Juno so bad. And I hated the unsolicited advice when I was pregnant. I always had my coworkers inspectong my lunch and asking me if there was more than 1 in there. It got annoying, but I just ended up ignoring their comments.

It's so hard to ignore. Sometimes I have to excuse myself and count to ten, I get so angry.

Yea I know what you mean. If you can't ignore them, just tell them that you appreciate them looking out for you, but its your body and your baby so they can butt out.

The only advice I can really give you is to smile, say thank you, and let it pass.

As far as the twin thing, I'd probably say something shocking right back to them to let them know they've offended you, like "No there's just one baby... I guess I'm just really, really fat, aren't I?" and let them stutter and feel like an ass.

I ignore then or tell them it's my body leave their comments to themselves. When they get preggers they can do what they please. I wasn't breastfed and I rarely EVER get sick. On the other hand my one brother that was is ALWAYS sick.

That was the worst. I worked retail during my pregnancy. During Christmas, I was ya know, like 6 months pregnant. Every. Single. Person would ask me.. "Oh! Having a Christmas baby?" & I would say, "..I'm not due for 3 months." & They'd get all wide-eyed & say "Gosh, you must be having twins!"

Uh, no.

I agree with Laura. Tell them, "what?? are you saying I'm fat??....thanks...."

Just wait till COMPLETE STRANGERS reach to touch your belly!!!!!!!!!!!

If turning doesn't stop them, feel FREE to smack their grimey little paws!!!

I have some people that tell me "oh you don't look like you're having a baby ANY time soon!!!" And the VERY next second another person will say "JESUS! You're about to POP!!!!!"

Reguardless, you're GOING to get unwanted comments...they BLOW!!!

mreh...people SUCK!! LOL!

Ahh Sarah, I know what you mean about the people toughing your belly. It sucks big time! Some people I don't mind. Well, I only don't mind my mom and Dallas (bf) and IF they ask sometimes i'll say ok. but my sister is always coming up and touching..lol he moves and kicks like "don't touch me "lol it's funny. ONLY with her Very Happy

people do suck.

I get that a lot to (though i've gained 50 some lbs i don't look like it)

next time somebody says something like that be like,

"I'm not pregnant, but I guess this blouse does drape strangely."

then proceed to tell whomever your with, "I think the baby just kicked me in the bladder!"

make them feel like total fools. (and a little confused at the same time.)

i had the opposite problem. i didn't show with finn until i was like 35 weeks, so up until then people would be shocked to hear i was pregnant and then go on and on about how lucky i was not to have that big uncomfortable belly. uh... yeah, think about it! there's no belly which means there's a full grown fetus in there crushing all my organs. i couldn't breathe no matter what position i was in.

it will get better after you give birth but you're still going to get comments regarding the baby.
