That's very odd...when I was a kid, my
parents kept taking me to a hearing
specialist as it seemed like I couldn't
"hear properly" yet all the tests they
performed, indicated that I had no problem
with my hearing. I wonder if it isn't
maybe more to do with auditory processing
rather than auditory
reception...especially if you take into
account that the tests they did was more
frequency related rather than
"comprehension".
My dad is having "degenerative hearing
loss" of an unknown nature, but I doubt
that it has anything to do with it.
You will most prob also find it silly that
I am a musician as well (Play/compose on
an electronic keyboard as a hobby)

Solution for Memory Problems Posted: 02-17-08 20:02pm
Yes, my memory is affected by the
medications so I load my cellphone with
all my appointments, calls to be returned,
birthdays, etc... Now I am not so
embarrassed ... unless I forget to put it
in my cellphone. LOL

heh, some days I don't know if I am
remembering my own cell-number
correctly...
A couple of times I have said the number
to someone and turn around, just to
realise I had switched numbers around...

almost off seroquel. i take my last 50mg
dose in 2 days. i feel soooo much better
and have lots more energy but my memory is
still a major issue. it's not so bad now
that i have an ipod touch with notes app.
i put every detail in it and i can carry
it in my purse pocket or whatever and
retrieve info fast. it helps me
tremendously and i'm not so embarrassed.
btw, doc is replacing seroquel with
abilify which i know nothing about. i'd
hate to mess up a good thing... the return
of some energy!

I'm glad you are feeling so much better!
Sometimes I even doubt wether I wrote
information down correctly...and 20% of
the time it seems to be wrong.
