Is abdominal pain a perforated colon ?
Posted: 01-08-08 18:16pm

Hi, firstly i'd like to share a brief history of my short term past, ive always been healthy and never worried about the odd muscle pull or ache etc, but also never realy had them, this all changed when my sister passed away, she died of a sudden bacterial infection which consisted of symptoms such as cold feet and hands, achy muscles, sickness, stiff neck and many other symptoms, after this occured i got realy paranoid and looked up the symptoms of this infection and after that i focused on not having them to such an extent i began to get them, this infection will kill you within 3 - 4 days max without prompt treatment, after the incubation period and many weeks after passed i began to realise this couldent be the cause, i then reasearched other causes for the achy legs (as this was my main symptom), i came across Multiple Sclerosis, motor neuron type, i learned the symptoms could also be sensations, such as pins and needles etc and muscle spasms, so what happend? a few hours later i got these symptoms and i'd constantly think about them, but eventually i stoped thinking about them and they passed, so i'm confinced this is just health anxiety.

i've done something realy stupid, on friday i was watching a porn film and was curiouse about anal sex, so i decided to test what it was like as a 1 off, so i got a carrot around 6inch long and put a condom on it, i then penetrated my arse, i then got curiouse if they could be any complications, so i reasearched and found out there could be consiquences, such as performation of the colon, which can be fatal, ever since this i've been thinking about it 24/7, the pain has slightly increased since friday - tuesday(today), actually, its more of a discomfort feeling, but everynow and again a pain which lasts 1 second - up to 5 minuets, this worries me and sets my health anxiety off and i think about it alot more, also i would like to inform you that my abdominal isnt in pain from movements and dosen't have tender points, just constant discomfort and occasional shooting pains, this was a one off and i'll never be doing it again, to be honist i can't belive i've done something so stupid... i can't tell my parents as what i've done woulden't realy go down well, also, when i wake up i don't have abdominal pain untill i start thinking about it again, for example, ill wake up and be ok, and then ill think, ohh my abdominal pain has gone, then it returns within 20 seconds after it been again on my mind,

My question been, do you feel this is again health anxiety or perhaps a seriouse underlaying problem? if so please leave some of the possible complications you feel it could be, thanks alot for your time, Please write back, i'm in extreme distress.

Another question is. If i did have a performated colon, would i have a pain in my abdominal 24/7 probably in the bottom left area of the abdomen where a performated colon usually occurs after this cause, also if i did have a performated colon or some other potentially fatal complication would i be in alot more pain or have presented fever or sickness or diahorea or something?

thanks in advance for your help.

recommend a colonoscopy

I would recommend a colonoscopy or barium enema to be safe. Go to a gastreotologist. (you probably won't have to tell them the whole story, just mention the pains you're feeling)Wink
