Nice.

I think in this case, making the choice to be on the medication is where your choice comes into play.

Once you make the choice to be engaged in fetus endangering activities, you have made the choice not to become pregnant, or not to gestate.

If you do get pregnant, though, and for some reason decide to have the baby, they can't force you to abort, I'm pretty sure that would be against the law.

Although a dumb decision in the first place.

This part pro-life~ should I have to bring a severly deformed child into this world?

My only comment is that before you make any life or death decisions you get more than one opinion on exactly what condition such a child has. I've heard that many doctors tend to use abortion as a "defensive" measure to avoid lawsuits just in case there's something wrong with the baby. I'll also seen the testimony of many women who say their doctors strongly advised them to have abortions, and their babies turned out to be fine. There are tests that can be done.

Yes; I get extremely offended when people do not bother to take the time to correctly read what I write and make wrong assumptions based off of what they "skimmed" from my posts. That's why the two people who both initially responded BOTH made wrong inferences. I take the time to thoroughly read the posts I respond to so that I do not make embarrassing and offensive mistakes. I just expect the same respect.

It is unjust that you should be punished by Fate with acne; for Man, who is not Fate, to compound that injustice by obligating one to raise a deformed child is obscene. That deformed people do live lives they claim to be fulfilled is irrelevant: the termination of a life that has not yet started cannot be compared the notion of murdering a grown, deformed life. The world is cruel; Fate is cruel; must we make it the crueler? So far as I am concerned, anyone who has no sympathy for those living with severe acne in the favor of a hypothetical life is perhaps less deserving of life themselves of the three of them.

The existence of deformed people are immoral and unethical? Wow. Really just wow.

The only thing unethical would be TRYING to conceive while on medication would certainly harm the unborn child that YOU want to carry. Not getitng pregnant and choosing not to abort. Thats one hell of a slippery slope and sure fire discrimination against the disabled.

That sounds like a sucky policy, but I understand the reasons behind that and Acutane CAN cause severe deformities. I, personally, would find it completely immoral and unethical for a woman to not abort in this case.

Re: Justice
Are you serious? Acutane is the only thing out there? So her skin isn't clear, she wants it clear she gets it cleared. If she wants to use THAT method and she does nto want to bear a deformed baby then she is choosing to get an abortion if she gets pregnant and not sue the prescribing doctors for HER choice. No force there.

How is it possible to terminate a life that has not started or a life that is hypothetical? If it's a life that hasn't started (I guess there's no such thing as an embryonic or fetal life anymore) or a life that does not exist, then you aren't pregnant and you don't need an abortion!
