me and my girlfreind have a problem. she works now and ussally take's her birth control at 8PM every night.

well now she works sometimes past 8pm and cant take it intill 9-930pm. i was thinking about her taking it in the morning at around 10am but the prob is im not ussally up at 10am and she ALWAYS forgets to take it and prob wont when she goes to work at 10am on some days. that is why we switched it to 8pm because we where never ussally up in the morning. but her working changed all this.

would it be ok changing the time to 10PM? or is that to soon to the next day? (12am) should i just switch it to 10am and make sure im up or whatever?

and is it ok to be switching the pill time?? and someyone told me 8pm is a bad time to take it because it's to soon to 12am and the bc prob is not working very well taking it at 8pm or not in the morning...is that true?

any suggestions would be helpfull.

thanks

Yes, changing it to ten pm would be fine. She can vary the time she takes it by a few hours a day and that's okay, too. She can take it at 10pm one day and 8pm the next and 9pm the next; that little variation isn't harmful.

Also, bc is completely effective no matter what time of day she takes it. What, did that person think that bc stops working at midnight like Cinderella's carriage or something? Rolling Eyes She could take it at midnight for all she wanted; if that time worked it would be fine. Any time of day is fine as long as you are consistent.

You could switch to a different method, like nuvaring- you put it in and leave it there for three weeks. No daily pill to remember- it's a lot easier especially if she usually forgets.
