Q: Birth Control Pill Cycle Question

For a girl who has been on the birth control pill ortho cyclin for about 6 months now.. she has recently started her green pill which is supposed to last 7 days, but she started it one day early and missed a blue pill(So she had 4 green and 1 blue left in her pack). She realized this 3 days after she started taking the green pills and immediately took her blue pill(the same day as the 3rd green pill) and then continued to take the rest of the green pills. She is supposed to start the new pack on wednesday(tomorrow) but her normal cycle would be to start the new pack on thursday. The question is: Would it be better to skip the (wednesday's) pill and start the new pack on the thursday as the normal cycle would be or to start the next pack as soon as she is finished with the current pack? Also, would the fact that she took the blue pill in the middle of the green pills affect the pregnancy prevention abilities? Thanks!

She'll probably be ok because she only missed one pill. Are there hormones in the placebo week of ortho? If there are, take them all. If not, and they really are placebos, it's ok to start the next pack whenver.

Personally, I would not have unprotected sex for a week after I realized I missed the one pill, because there is a small chance of getting pregnant. But it's just a small chance.

No, there are not hormones in the placebo week, that's why it's the placebo week. There are 27 (or close) and 7 of them are placebos without hormones, and that's the week you get your period normally. You do not have to take those placebo pills actually, since they are just placebos.
