Nesting & Mucus Plug.
Posted: 01-08-08 12:10pm

Sooooo....I'm wondering what this whole nesting thing is about!!

I never "nested" with Oni, and I'm wondering what it feels like, ...I guess!

I have the urge to want to clean and organize, but not *frantically*, ya know?

Could this be nesting??

I'm also feeling overwhelmed because it seems like the time is flying by TOOOO fast and I'm scared she'll come soon and I WON'T be ready for her!

And yesterday, I got checked at my Dr. No change in that situation.

I was cramping a little bit, about every 10/15 mins...but I know that's normal, and thought nothing of it.

Well last night, before I went to bed I went to the potty, and when I wiped a HUGE strand of goo came out on the toilet paper. It literally got pulled out when I wiped and was at LEAST 12 inches of goo! Shocked I showed Baron and he liked to PUKE!! Laughing

So I got up, and looked in the potty and there was a chunk of red/brown goo in the potty.

Do yall think this was part of my mucus plug?? With Oni, the day I had her was when my plug started coming out.

I know it can come out WEEKS before delivery, it was just weird!! And made me even more frantic to clean my house!!!
EEEEEKKKK!!

Yep. It was your plug. Its gross huh?

The doctor must have stirred something up inside there when he was poking around.

Not all women nest. Most women feel the need to be ready when the new baby comes, like have the room all prepared and all the clothes washed, the carpet shampooed and the floors waxed - because it makes their life easier for afterwards. This is called nesting, even though I don't know how biological it is. It seems more like a prudent thing to do Smile

If you get done cleaning your house and still feel 'nesty', you can come over to mine. Smile

LOL!!!

I've been trying my hardest to keep the hair from my dog/dust to a minumum because of Oni's R.A.D, it seems to be a serious trigger at the moment!

I'm no neat freak AT ALL, LOL, but I just know there's SOO much to do before she comes, and I feel like time is running out...QUICK!!

Hell, I had Oni at 37 weeks, and I'm 37 weeks...so my brain is going in circles trying to figure everything out.

Their room isn't even CLOSE to being finished!!! Me & Baron are going to do that tonight when he gets home from the gym. I can only do so much, alone. I need his help with the big furniture.

I just can't believe it's almost time!!!

LOL!! I don't have the car seat in! I brought it to my moms house before I got preggers, and I need to go get it!!!

She's def got a bed...just not a crib. We need to turn it back into a crib tonight! And it's not where I want it, yet!!!

I'm hoping she's stubborn and wants to stay in!!! I've got major plans for the next 2 weekends!!!!!!! LOL!!

Yikes! I haven't really lost any of mine yet. Your baby may be getting ready to wiggle her way out soon.

She MUST stay put!! Until I plop on the sofa and say "ok baby, you can come when you're ready!!"

I'm just hoping the Dr didn't stir TOO much up!! He was wriggling around in there for a lil while...stupid man!!

Men always take too long. Not to mention they're hands are so much bigger than the nurses. EEEK! I hate being checked but I know it's something they must do.

Man, I'm soo over being checked. I just wanna tell him, "why can't the next time I see you be when I'm pushing?!? Do you HAVE to check me?!"

I mean, really, so what if I DO go to 2cm...him jabbing his hands up there isn't gonna help!! HAHA!

Baron seems to think that they barely put their fingers in there and they can tell.
I tried to tell him that they have to go WAY up there to find the cervix. Damn near the top of your pubic bone.
He seems to think that being checked is a walk in the park! LOL!

They don't have to check you. You can request that they not do that.

A lot of this pregnancy stuff is purely optional Smile
