Q: Flu Shot Side Effects?

I'm 14 and i got my first flu shot ever about 5 days ago. The area is a little red and sore but my main concern is that i found a pea sized tender lump just under my armpit on the side i got the shot in. Is this just a side effect/swelling of an artery or is this something different?(crosses fingers and hopes this isn't cancer Sad )

Are you sure the pea sized tender lump was not already there and you just happened to notice it recently? Cancer is unlikely because you say it is tender. Cancer lumps are usually senseless. They do not hurt. Additionally, since it is tender you probably can't fully squeeze it since the pain will stop you from doing it. But if you could you would probably notice that it is "sqeezable" again cancer lumps aren't like that. Most likely that you have an infection. More detail might help
