Hello everybody! My psychology final is meant to find out what treatment works best for women who have suffered from either post-partum depression or "baby blues". Instead of using statistics, I wanted to find out what real women had to say about their true experiences with this condition and any treatments that worked well or badly for you. Even if do not wish to share your story, just saying what treatment worked best for you will help. Thank you:-)

i have it right now

i just started on welbutrin so we will see how it goes. it hit me about 2-3 weeks ago like a bus. and i literally started haveing panic attacks so nbad i couldnt breathe. i was mad and sad all the time.
for the past 2 days ive been ok
the only thing is i cant eat, and im getting hot flashes. ia ssume thats a side effect of the meds.
i really DIDNT want to be on medication but i had to
for me
for my daughter and for my boyfriend who has been probably the biggest support and help ever.

PPD is a hard thing to go through. i never thought it would ever happen wiith me. but it just opped out of nowehere. and its killing me. i hoe the meds start to kick in soon but the dr said 2-3 weeks
if youd like ill update in a few weeks when it does start to work and let you know how i goes

Very Happy

Hi, my experience with Post-partum Depression is you have to admit that you have it. I hid my for 5 yrs because I thought everyone would think I was a bad mother. I ended up becoming bulimic and suicidal. I was a mess. I could write a book about my life. I hid so much from my husband and family. If it is not dealt with, chances are you will die or lead a very lonely life. It is very hard on the person dealing with the depression, but also extremly hard on the rest of the family. I got help through counceling and Zoloft.
