I have had stomach pain for i know 7 yrs and have been put through the ringer trying to find out what it is. First off the pain is in my upper abdomen between my rib cage. it is painful at differant times of the day sometimes on an empty stomach sometimes on a full. almost always after a heavy fatty meal. It has sent me to the emergency room about 3 times in the past year. i am only 26 and dont know why i hurt so much. I have been checked for gallbladder and had 2 endoscopy tests in the past on the endoscopy they saw irritation but nothing else. i was sent to a specialist who for an excessive amount of h. pylori. I was treated for it and the pains returned the only thing that helps is to do low fat low cal dieting but that is so hard for me. I also have chronic headaches but I am not sure if they are connected. I have no insurance and an 8 yr old daughter. I do have symptoms of depression and have for a long time but i dont think it causes this but the stress definantly makes it worse. Any ideas????

Hida
Did you have the HIDA scan or an ultrasound of the gallbladder function? I have been going through the same thing for 3 months now, and 2 weeks ago I requested to have this test and they found gallbladder disease and 3 polyps. I'm having my gallbladder out this week and can't wait, the pain is constant and severe. I hope you get answers!!

You have irritable bowel syndrome. There are nerves from your head to your stomach some of which are very excitable and when they become excitable it causes stomach pain and yes your depression is also related to it.

Hence, you need to treat your depression and your stomach will automatically be healed.

You need to take Clomfranil. Start of with 10 mg for first the week. Once a day 4 hours prior to sleep. The next week increase dose to 25mg and then continue to add 10mg every week until it reaches 75mg. Then gradually decrease the dose just like you increased it
