Q: Lump near urethra
asked by: DoctorQuestion on January 7th, 2008
Hi!
I found a small bead sized lump to the left of my urethra. It has been there for approximately two years. It is painless and does not affect my lifestyle. It appears to be under the skin but not deep. It is the same colour as the surrounding skin, except a tad shiner. What could this be, what could I do and how could i prevent it?

It is very hard to diagnose a “small, painless, bead sized lump” without a visual examination. The lump could be a cyst created from a para-urethral gland but you'll have to consult a dermatologist or gynaecologist about this condition for an accurate diagnosis.
