I started Alesse about a week and a half ago. I've had light bleeding and sharp, almost unbearable pain during urination. I constantly feel like I have to pee but every time I try it hurts. Nothing like this has ever happened to me before and I think it has something to do with the pill. I've haven't missed any pills and I take them around the same time every day. Has anyone experienced this or knows what it is?

Birth control pills have NO WAY of affecting your urination, they simply do not act in a way that would allow it.

It sounds like a UTI, urinary tract infection, which has many causes, including unprotected sex.
