I'm not sure exactly what you're asking.
If you want to know if you would be
diagnosed with having a paraphilia (by a
psychologist) the answer is probably no.
You would have to be showing significant
distress or impairment in functioning
because of your paraphilia, and it doesn't
sound like you are. As long as you are
happy and able to live a normal life and
have normal relationships, there is
nothing clinically wrong with you.
If you're asking if that is a fetish that
is different from "mainstream" sexuality,
the answer is yes, so in that sense some
people would call it a paraphilia. But
that doesn't make it wrong.

I suspected paraphilia because someone
once said that the individual i like is
inappropriate.I read that if it's an
attraction to inappropriate objects or
even people,it's a paraphilia.I have an
attraction to someone inappropriate,i was
once told.

You can't have an attraction to an
inappropriate person, that makes no sense
unless the person is really young or
something. An attraction to a person that
is inappropriate is pedophilia. I think
you're too young to be a pedophile, so
that can't be your problem. Why is this
person supposedly "inappropriate"?
You can be attracted to whomever you like
and there is nothing wrong with that.

Paraphilia would be like... being
attracted to the refrigerator or a bunsen
burner lol.
"Paraphilia (in Greek para παρά =
besides and -philia φιλία =
love)—in psychology and sexology, is a
term that describes a family of
persistent, intense fantasies, aberrant
urges, or behaviors involving sexual arousal
to nonhuman objects... Also, it may
describe sexual feelings toward otherwise
non-sexual objects."

Cos she's(my avatar pic) not like a woman
in a celeb mag and i once heard that it's
a paraphilia if the person isn't like Pam
Anderson and CO.You know, like dolly birds
and people in celeb magazines.
Some reckon i'm "sick in the head".
Now i think they'd given me strange
information

Wait... so because the person you have a
crush on isn't "hot" you suddenly become a
sexual deviant!? That's ridiculous
darling. Ignore whoever put this silly
nonsense into your head. They deserve to
be shot in the groin. Everyone who
"reckons" you're sick in the head needs a
punch down there as far as I'm concerned!!
I can totally understand why you
could be attracted to this lady. She looks
like a fierce woman who knows who she is
and can take care of herself!! Feminism!!
Nothing wrong with that at all.
PS: Pamela Anderson is HIDEOUS!!

That was strange information you got,
definitely.
The only time a relationship towards
another person can be considered
"inappropriate" is if you are an adult and
the other person is a child. Then is is
pedophilia, a type of a paraphilia.
But you're perfectly normal. I think she's
pretty, in an edgy, powerful kind of way.

what about people who like pensioners?
like 18 or 20 year olds having fantasies
about 90 year olds.

That's odd I guess, but there's nothing
wrong with it, and it wouldn't be
technically a diagnosable paraphilia as
long as you were still able to have normal
relationships and your obsession with that
person didn't rule your life.

I've been confused again.
Can a crush make others feel sick???
When people look at her and say "pass the
vomit bag" or "She's monstrous" or
something,i start to feel ashamed of
myself. :s
How come my "crush" isn't all
flowers,hearts and fairy tale fantasies?
Instead it's just sexual.
I hid it in shame for 3 years straight as
well!

That's normal hun! It's just lust. You can
have a 'crush' on someone that's just
sexual. And others might even think it's
icky. I think it's icky when people have a
crush on Richard Gere, but that doesn't
make it wrong at all.

Oh, and no one else would actually get
sick about it, just a figure of speech. In
case you didn't realize that, I don't
know.

You go to a psychologist and hopefully
they are open minded enough to realise
what true sexual deviance is, and are able
to properly tell you whether or not you
have paraphilia. Honestly, if your
interest is just a lesbian attraction to
older women, (not grannies!) then how on
earth can that be considered "abnormal"?
Plenty of people like other adults that
are out of their "age range". Look at
Johnny Depp. He still has young women in
their 20's swooning for him and he's in
his mid 40's!! How about Sean Connery, or
Patrick Stewart? There are many older guys
that young women like. So, why couldn't a
young woman like an older woman?

It was just that one bit i didn't quite
understand.
Only really ignorant people see it as
abnormal anyway.
