Dr. Update...not Good...

So, I took Oni to the Dr today.
And she has R.A.D. = Reactive Airway
Disease (it's kinda complicated...so you
can Google it if ya want!)
I'll break it down a lil for yall! It's
basically a diagnosis of Asthma...or
Asthma like symptoms from an unknown
source.
They can't determine if it's Asthma
because she's too young to cooperate for
the tests they do for Asthma.
She also has an Upper Respitory Tract
Infection.
She's anemic. And HIGHLY contagious. And
her white blood cells are SKY high...so
her lil body is doing it's best to fight
off her infections...
So her Dr. wrote out 4 different
prescriptions for her to take. And if
she's not showing signs of improvement by
tomorrow, she needs to return to the Dr.
If she DOES show signs of improvement,
then she'll need to go back in 10 days.
I told him that I would have taken her
sooner, but I thought it was just a cold.
He said that this wouldn't have gotten
better on it's own, and I would have
EVENTUALLY HAD to bring her in...
::SIGH::...so now I'll be the meds Natzi!
And to top it all off Baron is sick as a
dog too.
I'm PRAYING that the sickness bypasses me.
I really don't want to be sick while I'm
preggers...
Please pray for us...this past week, and
the week to come is going to be intense.

I am so sorry. I think Nate had that. They
didn't actually say that was his dx but he
got an upper respirtory track infection
and then got asthma afterwards. Little
things would set it off for the longest
time. He needed breathing treatments two
times a day.
I hope she gets better and you don't get

I'm sorry to hear about Oni!! It seems to
be going around! I heard on the news
tonight about a respiratory infection
going around nearyby towns and just
filling up the hospitals with patients!!
Brayden has had a cough lately and not
been feeling the best so after reading
about Oni I'm definately going to keep on
eye on it!!
I hope everyone gets better soon!
Hopefully her medicine will help and the
illness will skip by you! Being sick AND
pregnant is just no fun!

Thanks yall!! She's on 5 different meds,
and that's NOT including tylenol for her
fever. Poor baba.
When I was preg with Oni, I got sick like
3 times. But I wasn't taking my prenatals.
So hopefully the vitamins will help my
immune system stay strong!
I wouldn't mind being sick if I wasn't
SOOO close to my due date ya know? Labor
and illness...mreh!!
I had never heard of R.A.D until today.
I've read that it can stem from R.S.V or
Bronchialitis. But that children that have
it are more likely to get Asthma in the
near future. I'm hoping she's the
exception...
Hopefully we can BOTH get some much needed
sleep tonight!! More her than me though!!

That sucks! Luke was just diagnosed with
that at his hospital stay. They say that
they will start calling it asthma once he
turns 2. I find that odd.

I'm so sorry to hear that!
Right now lil Bella has Bronchitis... it's
so hard when they dont feel good... you
just wanna take it all yourself and make
them feel better!
I hope Oni feels better super soon and
Baron to... and I got my fingers crossed
for you!

Poor girl.. I hope she gets better soon.
It's always horrible when little ones are
sick.
Jon was discharged from the marines for
reactive airway disease.

yesterday! I'm hoping it doesn't turn into
Asthma as she gets older. I thought FOR
SURE, that R.S.V would be as sick as she
got as a toddler.
Yall, she's just laying around, not
wanting to do ANYTHING!! Her little body
must be SOO sore from coughing for 7 days
straight!! My poor baby!!!
AND she's on SOOO many meds, she's prob
groggy from that to! One of her meds is
P.V. Tussin and it's a narcotic med that
makes them relaxed so they don't have the
urge to cough.
I had to basically drag her out of bed to
get on the sofa!! I got her to eat some
peaches and crystal light. and I think
she's about to nap again.
I'm just glad she's getting rest...WITHOUT
coughing every breath she takes!!
I hope this is gone before new baby makes
her entrance!

Sarah I am so sorry that Oni is going
through this...poor thing  I am keeping my
fingers crossed for you that you don't
catch it. Hopefully these meds work and
she gets better really soon!!!

RAD is also found frequently with
preemies. Oni wasn't THAT early, but it
makes sense.

Thanks yall!!!
I'm trying my HARDEST to stay away from
her. Thank GOD she's not being clingy.
That's ONE thing she gets from me. She
prefers to be left alone when she's not
feeling well.
The fact that Baron's sick too doesn't
help!! Everyone around me is miserable and
I'm trying to be the rock!
I've been disenfecting the house about
twice a day. Pretty much any/everthing
Oni/Baron touch, I disinfect!! LOL!
I've never washed my hands so much in my
LIFE!!!! LOL!!
