Stabbing pain in left breast
I also have stabbing pains in my left breast only. The left nipple is problematic, I've been having issues with it since I was 31 (am now 36). It's always erect and it scales and itches and has been doing this for 5 years. It has also split in the middle. I've had a mammo and a nipple biopsy and seen 2 breast specialists. My only comfort is that I've been suffering for 5 years and symptoms haven't really gotten worse.
Scared, but I don't know what else to do at this point. I've asked doctors if this is cancer and they say no.
I'm glad to find people who share these symptoms, it is comforting.

Have you done any research about a yeast infection in your breasts/nipples? I am currently dealing w/this problem right now and it is causing shooting pains in my right breast and extremely red/scaly nipples. I am taking Diflucan, which is an antifungal medication for it and just thought it was a possibility if you hadn't already looked into it. Here is some info about some of the symptoms:

Mothers describe the classic symptoms of breast yeast in various ways: severe pain without nipple trauma; sharp, shooting pains radiating from nipples that may extend to the chest wall or back; nipples that may be red, flaky, itchy, shiny, or burning (these are all relative signs, so consider what is normal for you); small, white, hard blisters on the nipple (this may also be due to a blocked duct); and sometimes white fuzzy patches in the folds of the nipple.

Breast Yeast/Nipple Thrush
I have also been dealing with a yeast infection (thrush) in my breasts for about 2 years! It is a horrible, hard thing to get rid of. It causes the shooting pains, is sometimes itchy, etc.... I have found that when I take acidophilus it goes away (this is what's found in yogurt but you need to buy it in chewable form from a place where they sell vitamins like GNC). As soon as I stop taking acidophilus it comes back. I took Diflucan but it didn't work! I read that some people need months of Diflucan but I haven't tried that as I haven't been to the doctor recently.

I'm 27yrs old, and a month ago I had that sharp pain throbbing on my left breast between my armpit and nipple, near the areola. Anyway I it hurts, I don't know what it was and didn't have insurance so I went in the bathroom and got my aid kit out (sharp tweezers), Peroxide and alchol with lots of cotton balls. I sat and pinch the small red bumps with the sanitize tweezer, it hurts alot, a clear white fluid came out slowly, I was persistant and squeeze all the clear liquid out for an hour and wipe it with peroxide and alcohol over and over until the clear liquid is gone and the blood begin to rise, that's when I know it cleared up, my bump shrunk and now I don't have the sharp pain anymore, I am assuming it was boil or sweat gland that causes my skin no space for the sweat to releases so it sits and the sweat baterial builds up within my skin and causes inflammatory in that area, good thing I pop that sucker or else it will grow bigger.

i sometimes get pain under my armpit and on my boob and it is all related to the pain in my back. I asked my chiropractor and it does relate.

Breat pain brought on by cold
Im having the same kinds of pain that ive noticed more in the last year. Im 23 and have many different womanly problems(ovarian cyst's, goiter on thyroid, etc.) Sooo not sure if those issues have anything to do with breast pain. But the last time it happened it was sitting in the office at work and it was very cold as i sat there for a while and as i started getting goose bump's my nipples got hard and then the pain started! it was like a burning, stabbing, unbearable pain that it started getting hard to breath. I have large breast that are real and have never had lumps or surgery on them. I once had a milk duct that got cloged and so thats what i thought this was from but the more i research the more i think that is not true but i would love to find some kind of answer since i dont have health insurance yet. Anyone that has the same symptoms as me that has answers please help?! this pain is horrible and id like to treat it!

i had a stabbing pain in my right breast, it scared me because my mom had her right breast removed. this happened a week before my period so i was assuming it was a PMS symptom.
Im hoping this doesnt happen again, if so i'm going to the doctor.

Breast pain from the cold
I am 56 and post menopausal. Tonight my car broke down in the cold. While I was out with a person jump starting my car, and we stared chatting, I began to notice a rapidly increasing pain in both breasts at the nipple and just behind. As I became really uncomfortable, I departed and went home. I removed my bra with no relief. I took an oxycodone which I take at bedtime anyway. My breast were still sore although not as sore because I in the warmth of my house. I saw a mention of nifedipine, which I don't have but did take a Nitro 0.4 and a Norvasc. I took the Nitro while I had to hunt for my Norvasc. The pain subsided almost immediately. It had to be the Nitro, indicating vasospasm. I have had two heart attacks due to coronary artery spasm and a TIA attributed to vasospasm of the carotid arteries, which produced no pain.

I guess I would reccomend that anyone who may experience this kind of pain from vasospasm needs to talk with their doctor. If you don't have health insurance, find a free clinic that has a good internist and speak to that person about it. This could be indicative a problem that is more serious.
