I've noticed lately that my knees have been bothering me. It's most noticable when I'm running. It's hurts on the front of my knee. Does anyone have an idea what it is?

Get checked by an orthopedist. If pain is early stages of arthritis, the knee can be scoped out (outpatient surgery) Due to lack of insurance, I let my knee pain continue until needing total replacements. This is an extremely painful surgery and the results are not always as hoped for. If I could have afforded arthroscopy years ago I would not have suffered so long or be in the mess I'm in now. Arthritis seems to be attacking Americans at a younger age. Perhaps our diets and/or environments are to blame. Anyway, don't ignore it AND GET A SECOND OPINION, and check out your surgeon -not all graduated at the top of their class. (trust me.)

Thanks for you advice. But, I'm only 13 years old. Is it possible to have arhtritis at that age? I've started to notice it a lot more now. When I jump especialy. I play basketball, volleyball, and dance. What else could it be?
