Q: side effects of Wellbutrin for ADD

At the tender age of 42 I have been prescribed Wellbutrin as treatment for ADD. While I have noticed that I am able to complete tasks more easily, I feel in a constant haze - I imagine this is what it is like to be depressed. I have lost a good deal of energy to the point where I NEED to nap in the afternoons. Has anyone else had a similar experience and did it resolve or continue?

I am taking Wellbutrin. I am taking Lexapro. I am taking effexor. I am taking xanax.
I am a space cadet, too. My sleep cycles are normal at work. The first time I started Wellbutrin I was up for 40hrs straight. I had to talk to every person I saw, and create a new joke, just for them. I also take medications for my heart, blood pressure type II diabeties, authoritis, thyroid. Some of my day sleeping was from my thyroid. That can give you all the symptoms of depression. You should get a better blood screening. I have been having asthma attacks. I cant use the enhailers with my condition. Marlboro smooth, menthals seem to help me breath better. If I didn't have to work, I would love my meds. Doing my job, now, makes it a night mare.

ive started on welbutrin for PPD i just hope it doesnt bog me down like so many people say it does. great. now i REALLY dont want to take it.
the next step from here is lexapro for my anxiety and panic attacks.

but you can always talk to your dr if this medication isnt working for you. remmeber your doctor WORKS FOR YOU. if you want something different tell him that. he has to listen to you.
