Q: White Spots Found During Endoscopy
asked by: cwhinnery on January 4th, 2008

I had an upper endoscopy yesterday as part of routine testing before gastric bypass. My husband said they found about 25 white spots in my stomach and biopsied a few. (I was too out of it to recall the conversation). What could the white spots be? My husband said he specifically said it wasn't cancer. What in the world could it be? I don't get to talk to him until next week or the week after and I can't stand waiting. I went in thinking everything would look good and that would be the end of it...If anyone knows anything, I'd really appreciate it!

Thanks!

Could be some un-opend ulcerative areas or the starting of some upper diverticuli. I would make it a point to find out what they really are. I would also like to know the answer you get.
