Q: External Hemorrhoid With Thrombosis? (image Included)

My anus has been moderately sore the last week. A quick smear of Preparation-H brought temporary relief. Upon examination there is small, hard external lump with a trace of blood leakage.

Here is a digital picture of my anus (can't believe I just typed that.)

Male, 42 years old, no chronic or current heath issues but this. No history of hemorrhoids or anal skin tags.

My best guess is this is a small external hemorrhoid with thrombosis and should resolve in a week or two with care. Is this a reasonable guess on my part? Thanks.

sounds like a reasonable diagnosis on your part, yes. looks sore. i don't think you are allowed to post images or links to images though so it's likely this will be removed by the mods. try to keep a good diet - lots of high fibre foods and fruit and veg etc and drink water.
