I think its one of those people who are totally obsessive over things, and the only way most likely to fix it see a doc and get on meds. Thats my guess, im not sure though why?

its a mental thing, like with me if I think something..

Ex. I think that I have to unlock my door and relock it 3 times before I can walk away or else something bad will happen. It gets to the point where the details of the "bad things" are soooo vivid that I can't ignore it because I feel guilty.

That is a good link! Thanks meg! I was asking cause I think jesse has it. Sometimes its worst that others but some of the things he does (and im not joking) he takes showers for an hour because he thinks he is dirty and he will ask me to wash his back for him and if I do it he will be like wash the middle again, go a little lower go to the left ect. He thinks he can feel dirt on him. He will check the doors to make sure they are locked and we have been late for work cause he cant walk away from the door for so long. He smells his hands and washs them all day long. He pulls his sweater off and on like 3-4 times in a row before he leaves it on. He zip his pants up and down 3-4 times before he leaves them zipped. He picks his glass up and sets it down without taking a drink until I tell him to stop! My mom said its this ocd. Its sounds like it from the link you gave me meg. What do you think?

It definteley sounds like jesse has it jill-he has real fixed patterns of behaviour by the sounds of it but ocd is treatable.

It doesnt sound like he has it too bad tho.. There was this girl who had it that I went to school with and she would pull a hair out of her head and munch on it(yea it sounds pretty gross) and she would just keep on doing it... She had bald spots on her head and the school would let her wear a hat to stop her from doing it during school so she wouldnt distract people... But the hat didnt help much. Her head looked nasty.

Sounds like he has it... But if he can "feel" the dirt on him too.. That could also be body dismorphic disorder.... Which leads him to the ocd... He "feels" the dirt... In turn he excessively washes... But the other things sound like ocd...
