I hope i don't gross anyone out, but I don't know if this is pregnancy or if it's a parasite. I've been told I can't have kids anymore so that's not an option, but I thought I'd ask here. I have movement in my abdomen like kicks and pokes. It also started out like fluttering and now it's definate kicks and pokes. My belly isn't growing. (I'm a plus size lady) I't been since late October when the fluttering started. What is going on with me? I've had kids before and that's what it feels like. The only other thing I can think of is parasites??? Help!! Rolling Eyes

Oh my.

You should definitely schedule yourself for an ultrasound no matter what it is.

I don't know why you were told that you couldn't have any more children, but sometimes doctors make mistakes and you could be pregnant and would need to find out so that you could start to take proper care of yourself and your growing baby.

If it's something else, then whatever it is that is moving around is certainly not healthy and will drain you of all nutrients and make you very sick.

I would bet more on a pregnancy since it feels to you more like a pregnancy and I do not think that a parasite would have as much of an ability to move like a baby, but of course, only you know how you would feel. I think that parasites would have a marked bad impression on your health as well....such as a tape worm, which would make you hungry all the time and you would start to feel very drained and tired.

Since you are a plus size lady, it is very likely that you wouldn't notice your belly grow either.

Good luck with the ultrasound and keep me updated!

about the movement - when I lay down to sleep it stops until I wake up in the morning. No itching or burning in the *bum* (sorry) and I feel wonderful nothing painful, at all. I'm just not sure, ya know? I'm afraid to go to my dr as she's a quack. Maybe I'll try a new dr. Sometimes it feels like a poke!

thanks for your help!

Why don't you take a pregnancy test?

I took one back before the fluttering became pokes and kicks and it was negative. I also don't have a period.

You need to go to a doctor. This is not normal.
