i have been taking lutera since august and had no problems with it, except for one. I have been very compliant about taking it everyday but i have not gotten my period in 2 months. I took a home pregnancy test and it was negative. Is it normal not to get your period on lutera or should I be worried?

same problem
I've only been on Lutera for one month, but I've been on another BC pill for almost 10 years with no problems. Now after one month on Lutera I have not had my period. I am only a few days late, but I have been like clockwork for 10 years, almost to the hour, so I am very concerned. I am going to take a home test today just to ease my mind, but knowing this happens to other people makes me feel better.

sort of the same...?
i've been on lutera for about a month and a half...last month i got my period in the middle of the active pills, and nothing during the inactive pills. almost two weeks into this month i missed a day, and now i'm bleeding, but it's not period-like. is any of this normal (the period during active pills, none during inactive, bleeding)? oh and i was bleeding a tiny bit before my missed pill...after it i bleed a lot more heavily. mehh!!

it's all good
I've since talked to several doctors about this, and it's all normal. Sometimes i don't get my period at all, and sometimes i get it lightly, and always in the middle of active pills, never the placebo. It's all natural on birth control. I've been all Lutera for a while now and no pregnancy scares. It's worked out great for me, definitely scary at first when I didn't know what to expect but now that I know basically all kinds of period aberrations for varying durations are normal I know i shouldn't worry. You're probably fine!!!

Lutera is Awful!
I have been on bc (desogen/generic apri) for 10 years & my periods have always been regular & brief (2-3 days). My pharmacist recently switched out my apri pill for Lutera (I got home after buying the drug to discover they had changed my pill without telling me), but assured me it was the same drug as Desogen. It is not! I've compared the drugs & dosages, and they lied. After one month on Lutera my period is now 2 days late, & as this is the last day of my cycle I'm not even sure I will be getting a period this month for the first time in 11 years. For the first time in my entire life, I had to pick up a pregnancy test. I nearly had a panic attack doing this, but the test came back negative. I will be seeing my gynecologist soon, & possibly considering suing my phramacy. Other than the missed period I have had no other side affects.

lutera birth control
I started lutera last month. I started taking it a few days before I was supposed to start my period, and it never came. But my doctor told me that would probably happen. So I wasnt worried.
But now im into those little red pills, and I havnt started my period yet. I dont like not having my period for this long. The pill also makes me really moody. like PMS for a month straight. I think its also kind of giving me depression.

I have also been on Lutera for a little more that two months and have yet to start my period. I always am like clockwork. I have taken three at home pregnancy test that thankfully have all come back negative. I called my OB and he thinks that the pill doesn't contain enough estrogen to make me start my period. I see him next week, so hopefully he can change my birth control and get me back on track. I also am getting horrible cold sores since I have started this med. I wonder if it is related??

I've been taking Lutera since last December. The first month I got my period like usual and then I had some spotting for about 3 days, but after that I was like clockwork! I haven't tried other forms of birth control, but I haven't had any issues with lutera. In fact, it got rid of my migraines, I finally became regular, and it cleared up a good part of my acne. I haven't had any emotional issues, and no weight gain. Sorry to hear others have had issues!
Best Of Luck!!
