Q: Strange Strange Headaches

Hello. I'm 14 going to turn 15 in july. And for the past few [2] days i've been suffering from extreme headaches. It is hard for me to concentrate on the subject when I am in a class. The pain is even worse when i'm walking or climbing up the stairs. My head is fine when I am sitting down or laying down for a while, but as soon as I get up it comes back full forced. I took a bath today [like I usually do] and I thought to my self "hopefully when I get up I won't feel have a headache" when I stood up to get out my head ache was so strong I almost fell to the floor. I was extremely sick on monday, throwing up, dry heaving, and diareha. I had hit my head about 2 weeks ago but i'm not sure if that would have anything to do with it. The pain in my head is in the back left and extreme. If anyone has any idea on what this is or how to treat it I would be much appriciative. Thank you.

I've suffered with headaches like that most of my life. Do you find that you are quite sensitive to light while you have these? If you are, and seeing as how you are getting sick.. I would think these are migraines. Have you tried taking any medicine for them? Such as advil? Migraines are always triggered by something, but from your post it sounds like this is the first time you've gotten this. Have you been using anything new daily? Such as a new perfume, or washing your clothes in something new. The sooner you know what this is, the sooner you can eliminate it. I feel for you, I know how much pain and frustration this can cause a person, so I hope that you find what it is thats causing this, and can make it stop!!

I hope you are feeling better! What you've described are very common symptoms of migraine, but it could be other things as well. It sounds to me like you need to see your doctor. Your age is a very common age for the onset of migraine disorder, and getting an evaluation and diagnosis can save you many, many years of struggling with it.
