You're Just Right...

I read that for women, for every 5 feet you should be 100 lbs, every inch after that should be another 5 lbs. to be in 'perfect' shape. So for example, 5'5" (which I am, and you are) 'should be' 125 lbs. I'm 130 and I'm muscular-ish and my husband thinks I'm plenty thin. No one's perfect, and that's more of a scale for models/actresses-we all know how impossible that is, we all can't afford personal trainers and personal nutritionist chefs.

That's what some 'health expert' said, but how much can you trust them, right? There are too many factors to take into account besides just height.

I'm 5'6 and weight 141. And people say I look skinny which is fine with me. Most around me I can say are overweight so I can see why they say I'm skinny. My surprise was that I thought that because my weight was good I did not had a fat problem until I got tested and was found to have high cholesterol levels. Even in the gym I was tested for the percent of fat in my body and was found to be on the bordeline level for higher risk of heart attacks due to my fat percent. I still couldn't believe my fat percent and even thought the machine must have had a wrong reading but my coworker was tested with the same machine in the same gym and his fat percent was a lot lower than mine and he is like this big guy. So I have had to change my diet to eat healthy stuff, instead of white bread I now eat whole wheat bread and eating oatmeal and fat free milk and the such. I haven't lost weight but I really have had to change my diet. We are supposed to eat healthy regardless of how much we weight.

Eating healthy and having healthy habits such as exercise make you feel better, regardless of if they make you lose weight. Your body will work more properly and you'll have more energy, sleep better, and be in a better mood, among other things.
