Is it okay once in a while to eat arsenic? Lead? Would you have a balance of cyanide in your life?
It's never okay to eat it. I know you are interested in having children fairly soon, and MSG crosses the placenta and poisons the fetus.
Tanya, I would believe that about food addiction. MSG just tastes so dang good. http://www.msgtruth.org/avoid.htm About 3/4 of the way down are grocery foods containing MSG.
I remember a Christmas party a few years ago; this lady made this excellent cheeseball. I love cheese. I know it's not good, but this was Christmas and dang, that was some good cheeseball! I couldn't stop eating it. I asked her what was in it...cream cheese, some other cheese, onion, soy sauce (uh-oh I started to think) and this seasoning called "Accent". She said it was a flavored salt. Alarm bells went off, and I stopped chowing down. Guess who was violently ill a little bit later?
Later at the store, I saw that "Accent" is 100% MSG. |
