Tomorrow.

At 10:30 AM.

OMG girls I'm so nervous.

I can't eat solid foods after 2PM today.. and its 12:15 and i still haven't eaten ANYTHING. And i have to start taking Dulcolax (a stool softener) at 3PM and i cant have ANYTHING not even water after midnight..

Guys i am totally terrified about coming home and being in pain around my kids. I've been told passing it is comparable to the worst back labor, and many women have said it hurts more than natural birth. Shocked

I cant be like around my kids.. If I'm upset and Jacob sees me crying he gets upset and cries. I don't take pain very well and if I'm in the fetal position on the floor in excruciating pain, we're gonna have problems.

THANKFULLY Rob works for the city and gets AWESOME benefits and can take tomorrow and Friday off paid by using personal days. So he'll be here to help.

I wish it wasn't outpatient. This is gonna suck.

Sad

lol

are you SURE!? Because Hydrocodone makes me sick and Tylenol with codeine makes me itch and doesn't do much.. it didn't even take away my headache lol.
The lady nurse said she had papers saying i was gunna get morphine afterwards.. and they don't prescribe morphine for outpatient.. thats why i thought i would be staying.. but apparently not.

We can be surgery buddies! I have a laparoscopy tomorrow.

What about Percocet or Vicodin? Just take some time to yourself it's going to be hard with the kids but mommy needs her rest and to heal. It's scary but just think how much better you'll feel in the long run

For my c-section none of the meds worked so I got percocets. If you tell them, they'll give you something else.

its a procedure called lithotripsy.. its (this is what the website says..)

"You will wear a medical gown and lie down on an exam table on top of a soft, water-filled cushion. (Older machines required the person to sit in a tub filled with water. Although this isn't done much anymore, the method works, and some machines are still available today.) Since lithotripsy can cause mild discomfort, you will be given a mild sedative or painkiller before the procedure starts.

The health care provider will use x-ray or ultrasound images to see where the stones are. High-energy shock waves, also called sound waves, pass through your body to the area on the kidney stones. You may feel a tapping sensation when this starts. The waves break the stones into tiny pieces. It is easier for smaller pieces to pass out of the body during urination.

The procedure generally takes from 45 minutes to 1 hour."

Betsy.. are those strong? (Percoset) I've never taken anything thats *strong* before.

Yes, I think. I know people down here deal them, so they must be worth buying on the streets. lol

No, seriously, I couldn't take demorol b/c it just wasn't working at all! I asked for something stronger and the dr. prescribed me percosets. I took them in the hospital and took a bottle home.

that doesn't sound so bad. you get to lounge about on a waterbed!

any idea how long after that it will take to pass all the pieces?

i really don't know.. it says on a bunch of websites 3-10 days.. and that sometimes it doesn't all pass and I'd need to go back for another procedure.. YAY.. not.
