i think it was yesterday that i was saying that finn has never been sick. well, i jinxed it.

he took a wicked long nap and when i got him up he felt really warm, i took his temp and it was almost 101*. i thought maybe it was because his room had been warm and he was wearing heavy jammies, so i stripped him and put him in his highchair for some food. he was eating and i looked at him and he looked funny so i jokingly said "are you about to throw up on your tray?" and he immediately did! it was soooo sad, he was so upset and couldn't stop crying. he took a nice long bath and seemed happy so i hoped that was it. nope, he just threw up again and cried and cried.

poor guy...

i just feel so bad for him. he won't even drink water or juice so i don't know if he'll take the pedialyte. nick's going to run out and get some anyway.

i just put a movie on for him and i'm hoping he'll just sit quietly and watch it.

this is so messy!

I'm so sorry. Ava's finally feeling better. Don't force him to eat if he's not hungry. The dr. told me and Ava's dr. to me for her that the emptier your belly is the faster you'll recover. If it last more than a day, you may need to buy some soy formula for him to be sure he's getting some nutrients. The soy is easier on their stomachs. Just trying to give you some hints b/c we just got through this.
I hope he gets better soon. Also, the best time for pedialyte is right after he throws up. My dr. said that it's really not even necessary unless they had diarrhea.
Good luck!

It's weird that this happened, b/c in the shower this morning I was actually thinking about how lucky you are that he's never been sick.

he must be feeling better. he sat and watched nemo for like 10 minutes and now he's running around screaming. i wish he'd just lay down and relax!

i'm going to offer him some toast for dinner. he's only had breakfast today, he was just starting lunch when he got sick the first time.

i hope it's not contagious! i don't want to be sick. of course the only water he'll drink is from my water bottle.

Ava did the same thing. She'd puke and run around playing. After 3 days of it it started to get to her and she became weak. I hope it's just a 24 hour thing, not a 5-7 day thing that our whole community's going through right now.

Well I hope he does feel better. Toast would be good, or crackers or popsicles and such. Don't give him juice, pedialyte is the best for him if he is throwing up or having diarrhea. When brayden had a stomach bug the doctor told me to only give him pedialyte for 24 hours (no formula or juice) and then the dry stuff like toast. Then if he had stopped throwing up by then you could slowly work the other drinks in again.

thanks for the well wishes. i think he's feeling better today. i was afraid we'd have a rough night but he slept great and i didn't hear from him from 7-7. we're taking it easy today, i'm only giving him plain food, no fruit, no real meals. he had a dry waffle for breakfast and now he's having a graham cracker. oh, and no milk today either. he seems ok but he doesn't look good, he's got purple bags under his eyes.

unfortunately it seems to have hit me. i've thrown up once and i just crashed for 2 hours while he watched tv in his playpen. i feel like crap.
