For those who weren't PLANNING to get pregnant, I am curious as to what kind of protection did you use, if any? [condom and it broke? birth control and it was ineffective? pull-out? ]

Just curious. =)

I know it's not a form of birth control or protection, but some use it and get away with it for awhile. From reading around, I concluded that you're pregnant, but you didn't use anything? Or did you want a child?

theres really no point in pulling out since it doesnt protect you from pregnancy at all

I don't know, I think that if it is used correctly, it could be okay. I really don't want to find out [hoping]. I've researched a lot into it, and have read that pre-ejaculate, according to new studies, show there is no sperm present unless he has already ejaculated or whatever. But, theres so many different things doctors say, I don't know what to believe. Point is, protection should be used if someone doesn't want a child. Ha. To state the obvious. Pulling out is kinda like russian roulette. ha.

no this is not true
pre ejac DOES contain sperm in it. no studies have EVER proven otherwise
a man does not know when he precums
they cant feel it
so you wouldnt be able to tell or "pull out" in time
lol its the russian roulette of sex Laughing

Nah, there have been new studies that have said that the precum has no live sperm in it UNLESS the guy has ejaculated and not urinated before that... I'm going to look it up for you and link you, cause this is the very information that got me all kindsa confused. haha. I'll link you when I find it. And if I have really known when I was ovulating, I've had sex, using pull out, during those times & I don't think I am preg. [ I did spot a little this month, and then I had two heavy days of bleeding, so I seriously doubt I am, although I was scared at first because I had some symptoms. ]

heres some info i found for you

also you can go to any dr and ask about it Very Happy they will all tel you that precum does contain sperm in it and no studies have proven otherwise (planned parenthood will also support this info)
Pre-cum or pre-ejaculatory fluid is released when a guy gets an erection. It cleans out the inside of the urethra, which is the tube that carries semen and urine out of the penis.

While having intercourse or just playing around, there are two kinds of fluids released by the penis. The first of this is the pre-ejaculate or pre-cum, which is a lubricant made by a gland in the penis. The second fluid is released during ejaculation and is semen. This fluid is made in the testicles and carries sperms along with any sexually transmittable infections
The pre-cum has enough of the swimmers to arrive at your uterus and the fallopian tubes. What’s worse is that the sperm can live for 3-5 days in a very favorable environment, like inside your wet womb. So even if you’re infertile, once the sperm touches the mucous in your vulva, which aids it in going inside your reproductive system, the sperm can thrive there. This makes conception eventually possible even if you had sex or were playing around several days before ovulation.

the way sperm gets into precum is when the precum ppicks up sperm inside the urethra of the mae and travels out into the vagina, thus a possiblity of pregnancy occurs

oh yeah if you bled i would say 99% positive ur not pregnant because women rarely bleed at all during pregnancy its extremely rare and bleeding is not a symptom of pregnancy
have you tested yet?

Yes, which is where I read that there can only be live sperm if there is leftover sperm, which will be released in the pre-ejaculate. Nonetheless, I'm still researching and I hope the pull-out method has worked for me thusfar, and I hope to make better decisions in the future. ha.

Nah, I don't want to until I miss a period for sure. I was just confused because I have always had a regular period, and then I had a 3 minute spotting one day, and then it happened again the next, about the same time, but eventually I had a heavy two day period. So I then realized I most likely was not.

I've been with the same guy for awhile, although I know that does not ensure a negative STD. hah. However, I do get pap smears regularly, I should be getting one sometime in January. I'll just use a condom next time if I want to be safe, haha. I don't think I like the idea of the pill.

yeah everything has side effects but remmebr if you got any you could definately stop the BC you were using
yes the implant goes in your arm its very very tiny! you cant even tell you have it Very Happy
the IUD is non hormonal so it doesnt have any side effects such as weight gain or blood clots or anything
