Q: My Poor Darling

I put her down at 8 and at 8:19 I heard her making a weird choking noise then moaning. I went in and saw that she puked ALL over in her crib. Thank God my mom was able to come bathe her while I changed the sheets and bumper pad. Thank God I have extra sheets and bumper pad.
I'm washing the vomit ones right now in case it happens again. My poor baby girl. I thought it was over with so I let her have green beans, fruit snacks, peas, and mac and cheese. I even gave her some milk. I guess tomorrow we're back to formula and toast again. I shouldn't have given her that food. I should have given her belly a day to rest. I feel guilty. Crying or Very sad

She's sleeping again, but she went down crying her eyes out. I guess throwing up scared her. I left her b/c I knew she'd fall asleep easier by herself and sure enough she stopped crying after 30 seconds.
It breaks my heart. I want her to get better.

I feel so guilty. The dr. didn't say how long to keep her on formula and no solids, so I figured since she didn't throw up yesterday evening today would be a good day to start back to normal. I should have waited. I feel terrible.

Don't feel guilty! You didn't know. And she kept it down all day.

Poor thing, make sure you give her extra hugs tomorrow from us.

aww, poor Ava.
Don't feel guilty, you just wanted to see her eat again....I know I'd want to see my baby eat again after being sick. Especially if she ate it, she must have been feeling alright. I hope she feels better soon!

I just wanted her to eat. Seeing her hungry yesterday KILLED me! I wasn't doing it 2 days in a row and I can't say that tomorrow I'll starve her again. I just can't do it again. I'll give her toast and a few ounces of formula every few hours to be sure she's getting nutrients. Thank goodness the dr gave me a few cans. I'm suprised Ava liked it again. She hadn't had it in a while.

Bridget, you are SOOO lucky!!!!
Ava's had a cold a few times, but this is her first time with the virus. We've yet to have diarrhea (knock on wood!). I honestly rather this than a cold. I hate pumping her nose and hearing her not be able to breathe. The only thing that sucks about vomit is the whole house smells like cheese after she pukes. Blah!

Oh, and on a lighter note. My mom taught her how to do this really dramatic BLAH! sound. So when you ask her what it sounds like when she throws up, she goes, "BLAAAAAH!!!!" and bends over. It's sooooo funny!

Good. She slept great, but today she's cranky. She's hungry, so I gave her some cheerios, bananas, and some grits. She really wants her formula, but I can't give her more than 2 oz every 3 hours. She's just so cranky.
Thanks for asking.
