I stop cutting for awhile then recently ,I started up again I seem to suck at relationships friendships. I push people away from me and it just hurts so much inside and i just want to cut so bad to make the pain go away just even for a little while. I have no one to talk to I use to have this good friend but i push him away i use to be able to talk to him and now i am all alone. so if i don't talk about the feelings then i seem to cut more its been a long time since i wrote on here i don't know why i did now just wanted to i guess Confused

Hey you are not alone in this world, and if you think you are then I would be more than happy to be your friend... even if it is only online. I am going to PM you my contact information and if you want, I would be more than happy to talk to you and be your friend.

treat cutting as any other addiction. Addicts of all sorts drive people away. Addicts need to be away from what tempts them, atleast for a few years. That means getting rid of everything that tempts you, that you could practically use, even if all you have left is your bed.

If you aren't ready to get rid of the sharp objects. Next time you want to cut, go to the dollor store and buy a teddy bear and cut it. If you can't cut the stuffed animal then wakeup and realize that cutting does no good. Dealing with your feelings in a destructive is just silly.

Don't replace cutting with ice or a rubber band, this is a temporary fix, it releases the same endorphins into the brain as cutting and lengthings the withdrawal process. Because cutting is not a true chemical addicition it shouldn't be treated like cigarettes.

Excercize alot. I'm talking 1hr a day of make your muscles sore cardio. It will help clear the anxiety and the chemicals your brain is giving off that causes cutting desires.

Get a hobby. Painting, knitting, computer programming (NOT COMPUTER GAMES), volenteering, hiking are all good cutting-relief.

Eat right. No corn syrup, it can increase anxiety. No caffeine or white flour (white flour becomes sugar in the blood) these are two very huge anxiety offenders that people don't realize.

Relationships are a two way street, they are work. They aren't like on TV, which many people expect. Truth is, without even meeting you I can guarantee you are average at relationships. Everyone has their fears and doubts. Welcome to the human race.
