Q: What Can I Do?

i have not officially been diagnosed with depression, but i know its there. i wanted to know if there is anything that i can do besides going to a doctor. i have looked around online for herbal things. does anything work that is not prescription.


im not sure if i have always been depressed or if its a new thing. i have always been a quiet keep to myself person. lately maybe the past few months or so i have been feeling moody and sad, like im always doing something wrong. my boyfriend says that i always look sad and not myself. just recently maybe the past week or 2 i have had strange thoughts(like what if would feel like to hurt myself or to be badly injured in an accident) i am always thinking of worst case scenarios for example, when my boyfriend tells me hes running late on work or hes going out with some friends my mind always goes back and forth about what could be going on with girls or wheather hes doing what hes telling me hes doing. im pretty sure its all in my head. i just want it to all go away. but i dont have time or money to see a doctor.


any advice is greatly appreciated thank you

These kind of situation is very hard for others to help you with. My cousin has depression, she even hurts herself by cutting, and now she is developing an eating disorder. I know what you mean when u think of senarios of the worst possible cases. I think that too, but you think cuz you deeply care about this person and you just dont want them doing anything to jepordize it. My girlfriend comes from a totally different background where she thinks about group sex and there were times where she even asked me how i would feel if she saw her ex boyfriend. So like sometimes when im taking a shower the thoughts of her giving another guy blowjob and cheating on me would just make me think of what i would do. Honestly that part everyone in a relationship thinks about it, but it prolly doesnt happen. But relationship is all about the trust. You know i was also once in ur situation, i felt depressed and everything. Waking up and feel like everyday is gonna be a bad day. The way i fixed my problem was i started to think postive. I woke up and told myself that today is going to be a good day. It was hard because ur basically changing urself into someone totally new. It takes time but in the end its worth it. I have a loveing girlfriend, im doing pretty well in college. As with the boyfriend thing nothing to worry about it. Let it just flow.

hello
i am suffering from PPD and underlying depression right now. i do not want to be on meds or antidepresants for it (im just not a medicine person lol)
however i DO have some suggestions that may be of great help that my dr told me to try instead of going the route of antidepressants

1. cut ALL caffiene out fo your dietand replace it with water
2. start eating fresh healthy foods,nothing fried or with a huge amount of fat.
3. exersize really helps
talking is the best tool and the best medicine
it will help you so much
you know what else
music and writting too are great stress relievers and help to vent

thanks for the advice. im not very good on keeping a diet but im gonna try. i was looking into amoryn do you think it can help a bit.
