Q: Question About Penis From a Younger Sibling, Help Me!!!

Okay, so my younger brother got taught all about how to put on a condom in Sex Ed not too long ago, and today he comes up all worried and asks me this:

"They said in Sex Ed that part of putting on a condom meant you had to pull back your foreskin before you put it on. But mine doesn't go all the way back over the head, and if I try to make it go back further it hurts. Is that going to be a problem? Will that effect me later on in life?"

Now, me and my little brother are fairly open with each other, but not /that/ open. So for him to work up the courage to come and ask me that, he must be really worried about it, so I really want to give him a good answer. Any ideas?

Of course his foreskin won't come back yet; he's too young. The foreskin is not fully retractable until later in puberty, around ages 15-18. He'll have problems if he forces it right now!! Tell him his body just isn't developed yet due to his age and that as he gets older, pulling it back will become easier and easier until it is ready to go all the way back.

Actually, my brother was homeschool, (as I was) for quite a long time. So when he went to his new private school he hadn't really had the whole Sex Ed thing, (I guess mom figured that was a little too awkward, seems like something she'd do), anyway, he pretty much falls into the age bracket you mentioned...

Well, 15-18 is a pretty large bracket. He probably just has to wait a little longer.
