Q: Missed Period -- Pregnancy Concerns :(

I am a sexually active college student. I have been on a 21-day birth control pill for about two years. I always take the pill within 22-26 hours of my last pill. I accidentally missed one pill about a month and a half ago, but since then I haven't missed any. My current partner and I use condoms. However, about two weeks ago, we had sex and did not use a condom. We were very nervous and therefore decided that he should not ejaculate inside me and that we should not use the pull-out method. We simply stopped having sex after a little while and did other things instead. I usually get my period two or three days after I start taking the placebo pills. So, it should have come around Christmas day. I have never missed my period, though it has come late before. This time, it completely has not come (yet). I took an at-home pregnancy test and it came out negative, but the fact that these can be innaccurate scares me. Usually if my period is late, I will still have cramping, and maybe a very light period for a day or two. This time I have no signs like that at all. I have been exercising a little more than usual but nothing extreme. Do you think pregnancy is a possibility?

Birth control pills can sometimes do that to you. Stress can cause this as well.

Using condoms and the pull out method along with birth control makes it VERY unlikely that you are pregnant, especially since you got negative on a test. I wouldn't worry about it.

Yeah, if the test came out negative I would have to doubt that you are. I would say go ahead and call your doctor if you don't recieve your period in the next few days, that way they can check it out just to make sure everything is okay.
