seven years old???? insanity. if they charge the parents, who are suffering already from their own stupidity, then they should charge the morons who make the bikes and market them for children. this post is going to be censored but i just can't think of any softer language that fits the bill. ugh!!!

Dear Lord. I know the kids probably wanted to play on their bikes, but on an unlit road, in the dark? Ugh.

The only people involved in this who don't deserve to be slapped are the kids, who didn't know any better, and the woman in the Range Rover, who probably couldn't even see the bikes.

And no, I don't think they're suitable for children. They're dangerous enough to adults.

We have quads here, have had them since they first came on the market. Our children when growing up drove them, our grandchildren are now learning to drive them. We of course do not allow them on the road, even though here in NY State, you have to insure & register them. They wear helmets all the time. When we take them on the trails behind our home, they are fully protected. Learning to drive them, I believe, will help them to be good drivers when they become of age. They will know how to control a vechile and judge distants. They have learned to respect machines and what they are capable of doing, both good & harm.

The other side of the coin is this poor family. They said the headlights were on. Why did the woman not slow down & use caution when she saw them? Very tragic all around.

My prayers to both families. The child's family & the other driver & her family.
