My readings are:
triglyserides=54
hdl=107
ldl=87
i know this ads up to 205,which is technically over the '200' thresshold.
But with such a high hdl and such a low treg's, is this something I need to think about?
I would appreciate someones thoughts that knows something about this. I do not get good answers from my doctors assistants.
Thanks so much for any direction.

From what i've read after my husband had a high cholesterol test - the hdl cholesterol is "good" cholesterol so having a high rating in that is good and you have a low rating for ldl which is the bad cholesterol.

So you have high good cholesterol and low bad but the overall amount is considered high - how these two things go together i'm not sure - with one measure it looks like you're doing really good and with the other measure it seems its not so good.

Your ratio of hdl to ldl is good so I would not worry about that total number at all. Since your hdl is so high, unless you have a lot of other risk factors for heart problems i'd say your in good shape.
