I am really sorry for your scare but the fact that you had unprotected sex and have since missed a period is not a good sign. However there are several reasons you can skip a period other than pregnancy, stress alone is one reason. Also if you are not very regular to begin with you never know for sure when your next period is. Obviously you should be wearing condoms or not having sex at all but if this happens in the future (and I hope it doesn't) you can always take the morning after pill which is available at Planned Parenthood. That needs to be done within the first few days though and you are obviously way past that. At this point you need to take a pregnancy test. If it is positive you need to start considering your options and deciding what you want to do. Like I already said, if you had unprotected sex and have already skipped an entire period and due for your next one already odds are not in your favor right now. Again I am really sorry you had to go through this hopefully next time you will make a better choice.

Also you should get tested for STDs, I know it sucks to think about right now but the girlfriend is right you could have had an STD exposure.

Thank you for you advice. Acutally I have had protected sex before and I have always been pretty careful. But unfortunatley I put myself in a bad situation. I honestly dont know what to think. For some reason Im too scared to take a test because Im worried of the results. Stupid I kno...this is not somethin that I can say I planned on.

The sooner you take the test the sooner you can decide what to do, You can abort the pregnancy, if you are pregnant, or have the child and put it up for adoption, or keep it and find a way to support yourself and your child.

I havent really thought of what Im goin to do if I am. The guy knows but he is a year younger than me and has a girlfriend. He said he would help..but his parents just cant find out..which means I should prolly just forget bout that one.

Well, having a child is hard enough, and to bring one into this world with no father, and no financial support, is even harder. It would be better, in my opinion, to wait until you are older, have a good job, and are married before you have a child.

How the hell would he expect to help you and this potential baby out without telling his parents??? That isn't possible. If you are pregnant, and decide to keep this baby, his parents (and yours) should be one of the first people to know.

Parents seem scary in these situations, and can be. Once the initial shock fades, things will be okay.

Next time you decide to go out drinking illegally, make sure to bring condoms.

And yes, you COULD be pregnant. You COULD get pregnant ANY TIME you have unprotected sex.

Just go buy a test. I'm sure if you are too scared to buy one, a trusting friend would be glad to go get one for you.
You could even go to the free clinic and test confidentially and FREE. They can give you birth control at a discount (or FREE), along with free condoms and good advice.

I kno its just things all happened really fast. I never thought something like this could or would ever happen to me. Im just taken back by it. I come from an extremely small town. There is no planned parenthood here. The only clinic here is the health department and I have family that works there. I want to be sure before I get my parents involved because I dont want to hurt them for no reason. As for him..he comes from a pretty wealthy family and something like this would be the worst thing possible. I kno I kno that shouldnt matter but it does and in a small town thats all that matters.

Of course this can happen if you have unprotected sex. You said you were careful but if you are not using a condom and you are making unintelligent decisions while drinking (underage I might add) then you are quite obviously NOT being careful.

Since you have already missed a period you can take an at home test and it will be accurate.

Before you start worrying about your options buy a test (or you can order them online if you are worried about people seeing you buying one) and take things from there.
Obviously there is a chance you are pregnant and, if you are, the sooner you find out the better - you can then think about what would be best for all involved but you may be worrying yourself over nothing

yes it is possible that you may be pregnant.. I to am kinda in the same situation i a m 17 and a senior in hs but i am 3 1/2 months pregnant. I hadnt had any signs other than a missed period up into my second month. I still to this day have not thrown up...had to frequently use the restroom or have been extremely tired all of the time...everyone's body reacts differently you may never have any serious symptoms that you'll recognize.. your best bet is to get a pregancy test because women miss their periods for many different reasons but in your case im afraid you may have a little one on the way.....

When did you take your test?Im kinda releaved that I found someone that understands me a lil bit more.
